They catch a glimpse of each for a split second in the reflection of the water.” - Maudie Brady Biography: Maudie Brady is a figurative sculptor from Melbourne. After graduating in 1995 from the University of Melbourne and RMIT (Sculpture) in 1998 Maudie pursued a career in the Film and Television Industry. She moved to Italy in 2013 and completed the Figurative Sculpture Program at FAA by 2016 with a student teaching scholarship. Awards include Joint Winner for the Tom Bass Prize 2016 and 2022, Best Nude for her Life Size sculpture ‘Laura’ at the 12th ARC International Salon Competition. Her work is in Private Collections in Paris, London, Barcelona, Sydney, Montreal, Bangkok, and Melbourne amongst other places. * The Florence Academy of Art is a non-profit 501c3 entity.
